Celebrating 3 Years of empowering women in Philadelphia!
Girl Develop It Philadelphia started with a simple mission - provide hands-on instruction to bridge the gap in technology by empowering women to learn how to code. We've evolved into much more than that, becoming a forum to assist women in changing careers, increasing their salaries, starting their own businesses, stepping up into leadership roles, contributing to open source projects and connecting with other like-minded kick-ass women.
By the numbers, we've grown into a community of more than 2,000 members, 25 teachers, 80 volunteers and have held almost 170 events including classes, project nights and happy hours.
What's the best way to commemorate those achievements and our 3-year milestone? By throwing a party of course!
Join us at the Comcast Center on Friday, September 19th for a night of celebration. Bring yourself, your family, and friends. Come in dressy attire to share a toast with us to the accomplishments we all share as a community! We'll have food, drinks, raffle prizes and more. All proceeds from the event will go toward our programs and scholarships to help women, including underrepresented and unemployed women, take our classes to further their careers.
